The Doors

The openings for the door on the bar are of irregular size and doors have to be custom made to fit.  So, yesterday, we paid a very pleasant visit to a door manufacturer in Fresno.

As we casually strolled through their showroom, we chatted and debated the nuances of what we want in the doors.

The side door which leads to the patio needs to make one feel casual, yet refined.  It needs to convey a feeling of relaxation.  The front door needs to impart a feeling of welcoming and invite you in without being pretentious and cold.  It is the very first introduction of the bar to you, the customer.  That front door needs to make you feel --

Oh, who am I kidding!?  They're just doors.  They have hinges on one side and a handle on the other.  They keep things out when we don't want them in.  We did select the door style we want, though.  It's not much more than a solid chunk of metal and wood and that'll be fine.
